All print proceeds will go towards the creation of a photography book and exhibition by Crystal and her Mother Cynthia.
Cynthia was diagnosed with early-onset Alzheimer’s in 2021, crystal is her only child and primary caregiver. Together, they have a dream of creating a photography book and exhibition of their travels back to their motherland china & they are already halfway through.
this book will be a mixed media photography book as well as a memoir about cynthia. highlighting crystal discovering her roots, going back to their hometown, their relationship/how alzheimers affects it, and crystal being a 2nd gen immigrant growing up in nz and relearning her Chinese culture & history.
