Tickets for 'You can call me CC' Album Release Show At Neck of The Woods
Join us on Thursday 25 September to celebrate Crystal Chen’s debut studio album ‘You can call me CC’, playing live and direct at Neck of the Woods.
‘You can call me CC’ is the debut album from Chinese-Kiwi singer, musician and visual artist Crystal Chen. Comprised of twelve songs that feel like handwritten journal entries translated into music, the album offers an intimate window into the emotional landscapes, foibles and humour that underpin the unvarnished realities of the metamorphosis of a woman who is the artist and muse.
The work of an old soul with a young heart, or perhaps an analog girl in a digital world, Crystal Chen’s debut album unfolds at its own unhurried pace. The album is influenced by Crystal’s love of jazz and soul, featuring a large ensemble of band members with band tracks recorded live at Roundhead Studios. This is the biggest collaborative project Crystal has worked on, alongside Tāmaki’s finest friends and musicians.
Crystal Chen and band features Joe Kaptein, Francesca Parussini, Ruby Walsh, Adam Tobeck, Michael Howell and Finn Scholes with special guests to be announced.
Support act announced soon.
‘You can call me CC’ out on all platforms Friday 5 September.
(Ticket Bundles & goodie bags will be picked up at Neck Of The Woods on the night of the show.)
